About the Fold:
This fold is a traditional style of fold that is useful to wear every day. Also known as the triangle fold, this style provides a single triangle poking out the top of the pocket. This fold shows off the edge of the pocket square, making it ideal to use with pocket squares that have more interesting edge designs.
The fold almost serves as a humble little arrow for the wearer. It’s as though the pocket is saying ‘look at this gentleman.’ It is an easy fold to learn, and is perfect for use in a slightly conservative environment. It also compliments a bow tie with a tuxedo very well.
The One-Point Fold is easy to learn and flexible for use with a variety of suits and fabrics. It is suggested to use a fabric that has some stiffness and rigidity, to ensure that the proud point does not flop down. If the fold is done properly, this should not happen though.
This fold adds a bit of interest to any jacket, and works well with pocket squares that have interesting corner patterns or edge designs. When used with a single colour fabric, the fold brings sharpness to the wardrobe. It offers the impression of strong style, intellect, and the quick wit of the wearer.
