About the Fold:
1920s America; it was one of the many resurgancies in pocket square use. It was the roaring ‘20s, a time befitting of pocket squares becoming featured items of clothing. It was after The Great War and during prohibition. The party was everywhere and underground. It was the time period of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby whose signature address to his friend of choice was ‘Old Sport’.
It was a glorious time for pocket squares and this fold lives up to the spirit in which they were worn. Slight conservatism, but with a flair befitting the wearer who was wanting, nay daring, to show just how different they were. It was before television and cameras and the Cold War and everyone being so angry. Do you follow chap?
This fold speaks of the period after which it was named. We used to have fun. We used to celebrate our differences. We used to dress up, have good manners, and we enjoyed our lives. We just won The Great War, for crying out loud. This is a fold of celebration and only a touch of tasteful excess.
It is also a fold of love and passion. It is symbolic of its literary homage. Use this fold, and just never forget who you are. Am I right, old sport?
