- With the corners at the top and the bottom, create a pleat just under the halfway point.
- Repeat step 2 and create another pleat just under the first.
- Fold the top corner behind so that the two corners are flush at the bottom.
- Fold one half of the formation behind, and hold it in place.

About the Fold:
This eye-catching fold is incredibly unique. It’s taken the best of quite a few folds and combined them to make an asymmetrical triangle that features a series of pleats that build strong feature into the fold. It is interesting to look at, and enjoyable to be around.
The name of this fold conjures imagery of the monarch butterfly; a dashing and eye-catching beauty of nature. You only see the monarch butterfly for just a small while though. It spends the rest of its life in other, less attractive forms. That’s how this fold should be used.
The fold works well with lighter fabrics and especially silk, in single solid colours. Perhaps the most important part of this fold is to maintain a feeling of confidence while wearing it. You are, after all, a beautiful and unique butterfly.
Use this fold for a special occasion, but always when dressing up. Don’t lower the majesty of the fold by wearing it with a blazer. Use it with a suit and tie or a tuxedo to look spectacular.
