Fold Instructions:
* Begin with two contrasting yet complementary pocket squares of the same size.
- Lay both squares on a flat surface – smooth out the wrinkles.
- Fold one square, corner to corner, to form a triangle. Fold the other square from the bottom, toward the middle in thirds.
- Fold each corner of the triangle down toward the bottom corner, creating a square with a vertical crease. Fold the other third of the rectangle inward.
- With the crease of the square vertical, fold each side’s corner behind the square.
- Center the square over the rectangle, with the crease remaining vertical.
- Fold each end of the rectangle inward over the square, and fold the bottom point up.
- Flip over the pocket square, with the center point at the top.
- Carefully place the fold into your jacket pocket.
About the Fold:
There is a tiny little hat, and it is sitting on your pocket. This fold is not simply for amusement. While it may look like there is a tiny elf’s hat poking out of your pocket, it can just as easily be used for more formal occasions. It’s not often that you find a fold that is fun at Christmas, as well as suitable for a tuxedo. Just be sure to use suitable pocket square fabrics for each.

There are many times going into a conservative situation where one must choose; a small rectangle above the pocket, or triangle(s) poking from the pocket showing off more of the square. This fold answers to choose both.
Being a fold of two pocket squares, be sure to choose two fabrics that complement each other in style and texture. This fold can look amazing in a formal setting using contrasting colours, but can look just as amazing for using an interesting pattern for the triangle part of the presentation, supported by a solid colour for the fold below.
