About the Fold:
The name isn’t just because this fold looks sharp. This fold is to resemble a cutter sailing vessel. The cutter is the most elegant and fast looking of ships, and this pocket square brings those same qualities to the breast of your jacket. It is complex and elegant, yet simple and conservative.
This is a multi-use fold. It will suit a formal occasion worn with a tuxedo, right through to a social occasion if you should choose a square with a brave design to it. Choose a more rigid fabric to ensure that the sails remain standing up, and off you go.
What’s more, is that in doing this slightly complex fold you actually make a boat. It looks like a boat as you’re folding it, which only adds to the excitement knowing that there is a tiny boat in your pocket. It’s a fold of skill.
This fold works well as a display of cunning that the cutter vessel brings to mind. A fast and maneuverable ship and wearer of this pocket square; if not in physical practice then in thought. This is a fold for the individual who is agile in any part of their life.
