About the Fold:
From time to time there is a pocket square fold that is open for almost any occasion. The Scallop fold has the visual appeal and interest that make it suitable for a tuxedo, and yet the shape that makes it suitable for a casual social engagement. The scallop fold is unique and intricate, making it the star of the show for any wearer.
In a formal setting, the fold brings the similar feel of The Three Stairs fold. In a casual setting, it has the elegance and curiosity of The Croissant Fold. The scallop fold occupies a strange station in pocket square folds, where it is suitable for casual and fancy occasions.
It can be a fold to use in a conservative work environment. This fold brings a softness and character to the wearer, but that may not be well received by many people in a professional setting. Exercise caution when wearing this fold to the office.
Show off your creative flair with this fold. It’s a multi- purpose fold that could be an important part of your ensemble. Use it with a plain or patterned fabric, but bare in mind that you will not be doing the edge of the pocket square justice.
