Fold Instructions:
- Lay your pocket square on a flat surface – smooth out the wrinkles.
- Fold the top corners down toward the center of the square.
- Fold in the sides to meet in the middle.
- Fold the bottom corner up and across.
- Repeat for the other corner.
- Open the top by pinching and pulling out.
- Continue to fold forward the top corner.
- Tuck the bottom corner into the top fold.
- Carefully place the fold into your jacket pocket.
About the Fold:

Alternatively, you may just want to walk around for the day knowing that you have a cloth envelope sitting in your breast pocket.
This fold is all about you knowing, and no one else. It’s okay to use this fold, it will just be our little secret and whoever else you want to bring into the fold. This method of folding would suit any fabric and design of pocket square. If you have an interesting edge design it will not be seen, although maybe that’s part of the secret too?
The Envelope Fold will bring a hint of mischief to your day, even if it’s just for you to know. It’s also usually slightly narrower compared to The Presidential Fold. Wear it knowing that you know it’s an envelope, but they don’t.
